New Year New You!

Can you believe it, it's already January 7th! So now we have been through the holidays, written down or verbally expressed our New Year's good intentions and we are ready to go. Every year we start off with a bang. Get new gym clothes, revisit our gym or sign up for a new gym membership, throw out all the junkfood in the house, buy all organic fruits and veggies and get started. One week in, two weeks in and we are still doing great and then it happens, we have one bump in the road and everything starts to go south. The real question is, how do we keep from completely falling off the wagon? This is the tricky part. The key to success is to pick ourselves up and keep going. One blip is not a big deal. Get up a start over the next day. Keep positive thoughts going. If you need to, write down some positive affirmations around your house. I AM GREAT! I AM HEALTHY! I AM STRONG! Everything in life worth doing takes work! Do it for yourself  first and then realize how you staying healthy can also affect everyone around you.When you take care of yourself, you then can be a better person, co-worker, friend, spouse, mother etc. It really is a lifestyle change. Take it slowly one day at a time. Realize there will be bumps in the road, but that is ok. Enjoy the process, because, YOU ARE WORTH IT!
